Full moon rituals have been practiced for many generations, in a variety of ways, with a variety of tools, all over the world. One of the more common full moon rituals is for using intention to release and let go of a part of your life that is no longer serving your higher purpose.
When you look upon your life, what do you see that is just not working? Why is it causing so much stress and frustration? Why are you holding onto it? More importantly, is it something that you have the power to “change”?
If the answer is “no, I cannot change it” then it is time for you to “Let Go”, relieve yourself of whatever responsibility you have given yourself in that particular situation. Basically speaking, anything that causes stress and frustration is not intended for us to hold onto anyway; the stress and frustration is simply a sign that you are “out of alignment” with your authentic self. Why do we hold on? We hold onto something long enough to realize and learn the lesson that it is associated with. When we realize we have the power to let go, then we let go.
In the journey to emotional freedom we take a series of baby steps where we begin to recognize the things that are working against us, acknowledge them, one at a time, and then realize they are causing more harm than good, and then we find a way to “detach” ourselves from that connection. Yes it can be done, but it takes focus and conscious decision to walk away from it.

- Setting intentions
- Tears (emotional release)
- Pendulum techniques
- Writing, journaling
- Surrender and Release
In our efforts to become better humans and by removing our emotional baggage, it is important to know that everything is here to help us. It is up to you to take the first step – start focusing on and getting rid of the things in your life that are honestly only holding you back and preventing you from being your most authentic self. ❤
